Superstar Jay Z most powerful rapper in the world The list of the most powerful rapper in the world has been released . It definitely comes as a surprise that the Superstar Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, has topped a new list.

The ‘99 Problems’ hitmaker, who is married to Beyonce Knowles, has landed the top spot on rap magazine The Source’s Power 30 list.

The things which have helped him to top the list are his business ventures with Live Nation and Rocawear and his part-ownership of the New Jersey Nets basketball team.

Also in the fray were P. Diddy, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and Lil Wayne, reports Contactmusic.

President Barack Obama got an honourable mention for his influence on the new hip-hop generation.
