Taiwan Earthquake Latest Updates

Taiwan Earthquake updates :- According to news an earth quake of magnitude 6.5 has hit Taiwan. Many building and houses are feared to be damage. This was very high intensity earth quake. According to sources many casualties are also expected. After the earthquake there was fear of tsunami but so far no tsunami warning is issued. The origin of earthquake was 295 Km off southern Taiwan city of Taitung.
This is not the first time that an earthquake hit Taiwan. In past Taiwan was also hit by a dangerous and disastrous earthquake. In 1999, 2300 people was reported dead when an earthquake of 7.6-magnitude hit the area. But most of the time earthquake was not if high intensity. According to news earthquake hit the area on Monday. US geological survey (USGS) said that the earthquake was on magnitude 6.5 and it was recorded at 10:59 am local time. Meteorological department is constantly observing the sea level movement and they said that there is no fear of tsunami. So far no warning has been issued. Media reported that the duration of quake was almost 20 sec.
