Taliban weakening Pakistan: Syed Ali Geelani, The Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Pakistan’s government blamed the instability in the country. Taliban accused of defaming Islam and asked them to abandon violence.

“No way, Islam permits the killing of innocents and what he is doing the Taliban in Pakistan is condemnable,” Geelani said while addressing a meeting in this town south of Kashmir.
He asked the Taliban to present the true image of Islam said: “They (the Taliban) are showing Islam in a poor light and malign her. I advise them to refrain from violence and bring the Islamic revolution in the country by adoption of peaceful means. ”
He also blamed the successive governments of Pakistan for the instability in the country. He urged the creation of violent means to suppress their own Muslim brothers and instead of holding negotiations with them. “Those who are prepared to lay down their arms should be assimilated,” he added.
“We share emotional and religious ties with Pakistan. Our hearts bleed when we see innocent people who died there,” said the veteran leader. “The people of Pakistan have always supported our cause and we are by them in these difficult times”.
Referring to the recent rumors about New Delhi plans to invite pro-freedom leaders in dialogue, said, “We are not against the talks, but we can not hold any parliament to India accepts Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and stop saying that JK is its integral part. ”
Geelani urged the people to remain steadfast in their determination at this critical time. “The right to self-determination is our basic right and no power on earth can we stop fighting for our cause. People have sacrificed valuable and we will not let them go in vain.”
Geelani said that when he spoke of Kashmir that included all that part of Jammu and Kashmir. “We assure non-Muslims will be safe with their Muslim brothers and their culture will not be absorbed and places of worship be protected. We support the Islamic state with complete communal harmony,” he added.
