TCP purchases 50,000 tons of sugar

The trading cooperation of Pakistan (TCP) has announced that it would purchase 50,000 tons of sugar from Dubai based company who had submitted the lowest bid.
TCP representative said that six tenders were received by TCP for the import of sugar of which the lowest bid worth $550 was accepted. He also informed that the imported sugar would reach Karachi in the second week of March. TCP spokesman said that the imported sugar would cost Rs 49.77 per kg. TCP would open tenders for import of further 0.2 million tons tomorrow.
