TCP to Issue Tender For 250,000 Tonnes Wheat

SINGAPORE :Pakistan will issue another tender to import 250,000 tonnes of wheat in a week as part of its plans to boost domestic supplies of the grain, a senior government official said on Wednesday.
The nation has contracted to buy around 1.5 million tonnes of wheat out of a target to import 2.5 million tonnes announced in May on lower output and rising local prices, said Abdul Malik, chairman of Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP).
