The transporters are observing strike to protest the revocation of the fare order.
Transporters On Strike In Twin Cities The cancellation of the 20% raise in transport fare came in wake of the after the violent protests that engulfed Rawalpindi and Islamabad during the last two days.
Allied Transport Union has said that the chief commissioner is not entitled to cancel the fare order and called for reversal of the cancellation.
It is mention worthy here that around 5,000 mini buses and coaches ply on 30 routes in the twin cities.
However, the commuters are facing difficulties owing to the strike.
