UC Nazim Among 5 Killed in Swat MINGORA: At least five people were killed Thursday in recent incidents of violence in Swat.

According to details, Sameen Khan, nazim of a union council of district Dir, was shot dead in Mingora by unknown assailants. Sameen belonged to Awami National Party (ANP).

Two unidentified corpses were found in Gashkore area of Khoza Khela, while unknown armed men killed two others in Kibil tehsil.

Meanwhile, local militants attacked an Aarkot-bound security convoy and a police station in Matta here Thursday.

Security forces have beefed up patrolling in various areas of Mingora and also carried out flag marches in outskirts of the city, including Tahirabad, Bund and other areas.

Moreover, curfew is being continued on the third consecutive day in Deoli area of Kibil tehsil.
