US Drones Attack Militant Targets in S Waziristan

ISLAMABAD:Suspected US drone aircraft fired missiles at militant targets in South Waziristan tribal region on Thursday, intelligence officials said, but there was no immediate word on casualties.

At least two of the pilotless aircraft hit two separate areas in the Taliban and al Qaeda stronghold, the officials said, where the military has been softening up targets and is expected to expand a military offensive against the militants soon.
