US On Way Of Enmity With Tehran: Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

NEW YORK: Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that Iran wants friendly ties with the US, while the US was pursuing the policy of enmity with Tehran.
In an interview to an American TV, Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the US enmity with Iran was unilateral, which culminated in President Bush having lost several good opportunities of building up friendship with Tehran.
On nuclear program, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, “Our religion doesn’t allow making weapons of mass destruction, Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and Iran’s cooperation with the IAEA is more than any other country.”
Reiterating his views regarding Israel, Iranian President said, “Israel is an uninvited guest in the Middle East and the Zionist state is illegal. Responding to a question, Iranian President said that the US presidential candidates’ views relating to Iran were provocative, but still he could say anything at this stage about their formal views. He said that when he was the Mayor of Tehran, he had met Republican candidate for vice president, Sarah Palin and he wished her well.
