Usa vs Algeria 2010 World Cup PredictionUsa vs Algeria 2010 World Cup Prediction: USA and Algeria will square off in Pretoria’s Loftus Versfeld Stadium in a match that could potentially see either side through to the knockout stages. The ball however, is in the United States’ hands as they are up on England by a two goal difference. Algeria on the other hand, can be very unpredictable as everything is up for grabs in Group C. The story so far is bleak for the African nations. Will the trend continue into the final matches of the group stage?

USA:

USA has 2 points in Group C and has been scored on first in both of their match-ups. Against Slovenia the American were unlucky not to come away with 3 points, but Bob Bradley’s men showed the utmost determination and resiliency to come back from 2 goals down. This time around, USA will hope to strike first and be well on their way to the second round. Although there are several scenarios available for the Americans to go through, they will be pushing for a win. Look for attacking football from stars Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey. Jozy Altidore will need to perform like he did against Slovenia if the Americans want to create more opportunities up front. The Americans number one is to win, but will do anything not to face the Germans in round 2. Robbie Findlay will miss out as he has received 2 bookings in the previous games. Therefore, Dempsey may take a more offensive role while Maurice Edu will most likely play for Jose Torres who was subbed at half time vs. Slovenia. Herculez Gomez and Benny Feilhaber could come off of the bench to create problems for the Algerians. Win and go through, its that simple (but not easy).

Algeria:

Algeria has yet to score in the World Cup, but could miraculously make it through to the knockout stages. Their hopes, although slim, will rest on the game between England and Slovenia. Regardless, the Desert Foxes will most likely push to score which may open up the game for the Americans to counter. Algeria will rely on aggressive play and hard tackles in their quest to beat the Americans. Algeria will be glad to welcome back their No. 1 goalkeeper Faouzi Chaouchi who has recovered from a knee injury. There has been no complaints from current keeper Rais M’Bolhi so the goalie situation in not clear. Abdelkaber Ghezzal is back from his one match ban. Algeria will play all out attacking football looking for their first second round birth, but the future is certainly not all in their hands.
