Vanessa Laine Bryant

Vanessa Laine Bryant , Laine is the wife of NBA star Kobe Bryant. She was born to a Mexican mother and father, despite dozens of websites claiming that she is part Irish and Mexican. She adopted the surname, Laine from her step-father Stephen Laine.

Kobe, who is fluent in Spanish and Italian, grew up in Italy as a young child. Some say that Kobe’s parents didn’t approve of the marriage because Vanessa is not African American.
