Virgin Mobile ties up with MySpace for social networking

Mobile service provider Virgin Mobile has tied up with MySpace for providing social networking services. Under the agreement, MySpace would provide its social networking services on Virgin Mobile’s WAP-enabld phones.
“The partnership will enthuse Virgin Mobile’s youth customers by providing them instant access to world’s largest social networking site at no extra-cost on handsets starting at Rs 2,999,” a company release said.
MySpace, a unit of Fox Interactive Media, is a premier lifestyle portal connecting global community by integrating web profiles, instant messaging, blogs etc.
With the access to the online community, Virgin Mobile users can now actively meet/add their friends on the fly as well as share photos, journals and interests with their growing network of mutual friends.
