The season 2 of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ awaits its grand finale today (November 22, 2008), with the final three housemates – namely Zulfi Syed, Raja Chaudhary and Ashutosh Kaushik – fighting it out for a cash prize of Rs 1 crore. The entire nation’s taking sides for them and is surely, waiting with baited breath to catch, who ultimately gets crowned as the ‘Bigg Boss’ today.
From a motley group of 13 contestants and weekly evictions since the last 95 days, the finale of the reality show is being shot in the outskirts of Lonavala. Viewers across India are waiting in eager anticipation, and it’s today (November 22), that the winner of ‘Bigg Boss’ will be announced with loads of characteristic glitz and drama. The ‘Bigg Boss’ winner will take home a prize money of Rs 1 crore, while the other contestants too are slated to pick up impressive cheques.
The angry, often foul-mouthed Raja Chaudhary initially stunned the audiences with his behavior but his frank attitude has worked for him. Be it Raja’s foul tempered relation with ex-housemate Sambhavna Seth or his disciplining of Eileena, Raja’s rawness has kept viewers on his side.
The winner of another popular reality show, Ashutosh Kaushik was clearly not welcome in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house initially. However, Ashutosh got along with everyone, and kept away from controversies. Also, Ashutosh’s eager participation in house activities made way for superb comedy.
Clearly, the most boring member of the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, Zulfi Syed won sympathy with his sincere offering of ‘Namaaz’ everyday religiously during ‘Eid’. Apart from generally having fun and cooking spicy meals for his housemates, Zulfi stayed the silent spectator, taking a ringside view of the racous fighting sessions amongst the contestants during the show.
‘Bigg Bos’s has roped in last year’s noisiest celebrity housemate Rakhi Sawant for the penultimate show. Rakhi in her new glam mode, made no bones about her choice between the three finalists, going all out for Zulfi Syed. As Rakhi states, “Like last year’s winner Rahul Roy, Zulfi did not provoke anyone and stayed out of trouble. That’s why, he will win.”
