Wjla Breast Exam Video, WJLA Washington says it will demonstrate breast self-examination without concealing any part of the body during a four-part series in 5 hours and 11 hours of news in the next two days (October 29 and 30). 
“Touch of Life: The Guide to Breast Self Examination” is in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, according to spokeswoman Abby station Fenton, director of community relations. It also comes in the first days of November sweeps period, when ratings help determine ad rates for the stations.
“This unique television event will include a clinical manifestation of breast self-examination without hiding any of the chest area,” says station in bold, underlined type in the statement announcing the series. Series of news involving mammograms and self-tests are not unusual and confusion is the usual practice, but the station said her news team found that many women do not know the correct way to perform the test.
“I do not sweep the room is as important as the fact that we’re doing a play about breast cancer because we have discovered that women in this area do not know how, when or how often, and that is really what we are coming, “says Fenton.
What about the appearance that could be a hoax? “It’s irrelevant,” she says. “If people want to take a piece sweeps, that’s their business. But we’re also doing something that is really important for women”.
The series will include an interview with Elizabeth Edwards, fighting his own battle with cancer, and will be supported with a phone bank in partnership with Inova Breast Care Institute.
