Yar`Adua Dead, Yar`Adua

Nigerain President Umaru Yar`Adua, who was undergoing treatment for a heart ailment is dead,his office confirmed late Wednesday.

“He passed on earlier this night between 9.30 and 10.00 p.m. (local time),”
The late president succeeded in quelling the raging rebel onslaught in the Niger Delta region by granting blanket amnesty to the fighting members and promising rehabilitation.
